The song Mátészalka, originally created by Tritone around 2006, is a hip-hop/rap track that showcases the raw, street side of the Hungarian town of Mátészalka. Rather than celebrating the city in a traditional way, the song dives into its gritty, gangster-like atmosphere, painting a picture of life on the rougher side of town.
The track has since become a local underground classic, a kind of musical “relic” representing the city’s unfiltered reality. With the collaboration of KENDERMAG, we reworked the song to bring a fresh, modern twist while keeping its authentic street vibe intact.
Both the original and the remade versions of Mátészalka remain anthems for those who know the city’s darker, edgier side, solidifying its place in local hip-hop culture.
